ResLynx Help – WebRates
This page includes a number of tutorials to help you get to grips with the various WebRates features.
Glossary
View all your reservations in WebRates
Allows you to view reservations that have been confirmed by the hotel and have therefore completed the WebRates flow.
Allows you to quickly view all the rooms available for a destination in a given month.
This section simulates a hotel search from ResLynx UI.
You need to enter an arrival and departure date and a destination. These destinations are “fetched” from the city completor associated with the account, as in UI.
If a specific hotel is entered, only the results for that hotel will be displayed. Otherwise, all hotels with availability for this destination/date combination will be displayed.
This makes it possible to test how a hotel is configured in WebRates without necessarily going through ui, where other layers of abstraction are introduced. Ex: we want to make sure that the rooms in our offer for the hotel “le concorde”, which is located in Quebec City, come up in a search for Quebec City.
This is where you’ll find all the hotels you want to distribute through WebRates. This is also where you can configure new hotels and manage existing ones.
List of destinations that can be associated with a hotel, which are compared with the booking engine’s search query destinations. You have to use the IATA codes of your destinations (at least, to make sure that the codes your use are identical across your ResLynx solutions).
Allows you to map a ResLynx/WebRates product category to its PC voyage counterpart. This is only useful in the context of sending accounting entries to PC voyage via the API (Sentinelle).
Allows you to group hotels in the same category:
Ex: pet-friendly hotels, high-profit hotels.
This is useful when searching for hotels according to this attribute. A hotel can only belong to a hotel chain.
Different currencies configured in WebRates, allowing you to set the rate per currency in the room rates.
List of users with access to WebRates. Not the same by default as users with access to UI. By modifying a user, you can give him access to different parts of the platform.
This is where you can test and modify the appearance and content of the confirmation request e-mail sent to the hotel. To test this, enter the reference number of a real reservation in WebRates (e.g. 54A17C30) and not the booking number in UI.
This is where you can test and modify the appearance and content of the cancellation e-mail sent to the hotel when a component is cancelled in ui. To test this, you need to enter the reference number of a real reservation in WebRates (e.g. 54A17C30) and not the booking number in ui.
This feature is often not used by users, who prefer to call the hotel directly when a cancellation is required.
